Homosexuality
QUESTION: Where does homsexuality which is so prevalent today come into all this?? Is a sexual relationship between members of the same sex a creative act as you define it??
ANSWER: Sexual intercourse between two men or two women is not an act of creation. It is not a correct use of the creative energy. It is an abuse. It is a use of the energy for personal pleasure. It is a use of the energy for egotistical ends, regardless of the physical cost, and no good thing will ever come from it on any level. Having said that, let me make it quite clear that a loving relationship between two men or two women can be a positive and creative union on many levels. Remember the story of David and Jonathan in the Bible.
Contraception
QUESTION: Is contraception wrong?? It does, afterall, prevent unwanted children, but does it not also prevent destined children from coming on the Earth?? Also, if the World does not practise contraception are we not going to overpopulate and destroy or planet??
ANSWER: Contraception is necessary only because of Humanity´s misuse of the sexual act. If Humanity used the sexual act with correct motivation, if it understood the true nature of physical conception, there would be no need for contraception. Conception is not just due to the union of the male and female reproductive cells. There is also a cosmic act of union taking place and if you recognise that fact then you will begin to understand how conception occurs. Evolved souls agree on the higher levels of life before they even incarnate to allow a child to come through them on the physical plane.
Sometimes that agreement is made two or three thousand years before the birth. So the responsibility for having a destined child is inown and recognised for a long time. Evolved souls nearly always honour that agreement, although they may limit the occasions on which the child can come through them, because they are aware of the destiny of the child coming through them and its impact upon the World. This would have been the case of Mary and Joseph with the Master Jesus. Humanity has to learn to trust its Creator and to createin Its image according to Its divine Will and Plan.
Do you really control your physical destiny?? Do you really control when you have your children?? To a small degree you do, but only to a very small degree. You can choose to say "No" to your children, destined or otherwise, just as you can choose to say "No" to many other things, but thereafter the pressure of life will always be reminding you of the promises that you made until you honour them.
I myself do not believe that there are many evolved souls waiting to come through to Earth who cananot get through to this plane of life because of the use of contraception. There may be a very few, but at a time like this, when it is so important to have the right souls upon the plane of Earth, all those who are meant to be here will be here.
Love for Love´s Sake
QUESTION: You have talked about sex being used either for creation or for pleasure, but you haven´t talked about sex as an act of love. Why cannot one make love for love´s sake??
ANSWER: How does one make love for the sake of love?? Love is not a romantic, storybook ideal. It is the energy of your Creator pulsating through you. When you are in tune with that energy you are in love. When you are fulfilling your Creator´s will for you, when you are acting selflessly, you are in love. Love is not something that can be planned and created. You cannot say that we will make love tonight or tomorrow. That is not love. Love is something far higher than that. Love is a spontaneious act of creation. You can make love to fulfil the principle of love only in the sense that you are responding to the energy of your Creator, not to your own desires or pleasures.
It is the love of creation that creates the desire for sex. It is not the other way around. To make love with someone seeking love is seeking an illusion and you will never find it. Love is. Love never will be and never has been. It is now. It is the joy of the moment. You cannot seek it. It seeks you. When you read in the romantic novels of people make love, that is not the love of creation, that is the love of the ego. When the I is present so is desire. True love is an act of cosmic creativity not of human frailty.
Destined Child
QUESTION: How can you be sure that you will have a destined child. Cannot any soul slip in if it is given the opportunity??
ANSWER: When you are in tune with the Universe, when you are acting only from your highest centre and with the highest motivation you can only attract the highest to you. That is the Law of the Universe. Right action produces the right things in your life because you are in harmony with life and everything around you. Right enforces right. Conversely it is only wrong action that produces wrong things in your life, when you create from your lower centres. The nature of creation is controlled by your behaviour in thought, word and deed.
Sex Before Marriage
QUESTION: Young people today find it difficult to cope with all the sexual energy present in our society. There is so much pressure to behave like everyone else and experiment sexually before marriage. What advice can you give??
Society does not compel, only impel. It is surely a measure of your society today that if you are a virgin when you marry you are thought to be abnormal, whereas two centuries ago you were thought to be abnormal if you were not a virgin. You have lost the understanding of the virgin principle, of what it is to be a virgin, and I use that principle for both male and female. To be a virgin is to be pure in thought, word and deed, is to channel the creative energy correctly. The original concept of men and women not having sexual relations until they were married was not just because of social morality, it was to preserve one´s purity for the act that mattered most, the act of creation. If you have made a hundred attempts at creation before you produce your own child, where lies the purity of your creation.
Now society will not change overnight. What we of the Spiritual Hierarchy are trying to do is to lead young people into an understanding of what is really involved in the sexual act, to make them think for themselves and to realise that one can be in society without actually following all the customs of society. It is possible to be a virgin and have a happy life!
Insecure Without Sex
QUESTION: The trouble today is that because people associate love with the sexual act they feel insecure unless they commit the sexual act. They feel that their partner doesn´t love them. They feel that the sexual act is a necessary bonding.
ANSWER: If that is so, then they are not in love.
A Selfless Emotion
QUESTION: So are you saying that people who are in love in the true sense of the word do not need to commit the sexual act unless they are to conceive a child??
ANSWER: Love is a selfless emotion. By its very expression it allows you to see in your partner the highest potential that you would wish for them on this Earth. You love them not for what you need from them, not for what they can give you, but for what they are. Such a love does not need to be supported by the sexual act; especially if one of the partners is an unwilling participant. If I could leave you all with one thought, it would be that it is not sex that makes the world go round. It is Love!
